I am a suburban guy but the fairgrounds closing would be a travesty to our rural heritage. We still enjoy festivities there.
The article seems to intimate since we voters didn’t overrule TABOR to raise taxes, that that is the reason fairground closures could be a possibility.
I submit that all Jeffco services ran smoother and at a higher level with lower budgets before bureaucracy and bloated programs and administration infiltrated the scene.
My property taxes have tripled through the years but my income surely has not, and neither has services and county efficiency.
Quit holding TABOR over the citizens’ heads. Stick to current TABOR law and sharpen your “administrative” pencils, as that is what you are paid to do.
